Students from London South East College’s Public Services course toiled through the night on Thursday to raise over £600 for the national charity Care of Police Survivors (COPS).

Mature students, William and Imogen are taking advantage of a set of courses designed specifically for adults wishing to completely change career direction after a number of years out of the education system.

Four passionate media enthusiasts, based at London South East College’s Bexley Campus, are Ravensbourne-bound in September after the successful completion of their Creative Media Production BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma course.

Over the past ten years, there has been a huge shift in opinion by employers, universities, professional bodies and training providers about the need for good grades and attainment in the two core subjects of English and maths; particularly when setting entry requirements and criteria for higher education, professional qualifications and job opportunities.
