November Open EVent TEST3

We launched London's first Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College in 2014 in response to a growing skills shortage facing this sector.

Part of a national network, Career Colleges provide 16-19 year olds with the skills they need to enter a particular industry – in our case, the Hospitality Industry, which offers many exciting career opportunities.

What sets our Career College apart is the pioneering level of industry support. Top employers including representatives from the Hyatt, Hilton and Springboard Groups sit on our advisory board, helping to design and deliver the curriculum. This ensures you will be learning skills which are fully relevant to the real world of work.

We have a range of Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications for our 16-19 year olds. This enables you to progress and develop your skills, as well as specialising in particular areas.

Our industry-standard kitchens and student-led commercially-run restaurant BR6 provide a real-life experience of work. You can practice your skills on paying customers, while learning more about running a restaurant. Building work has also begun on phase 2 BR6, which will see the creation of a bistro and shop.

We support our 16+ students to take up fulfilling work experience placements at a range of hotels and restaurants. For our younger students, an emphasis is put on ‘experience of work', which includes workplace visits and workshops.

In the past year our students have visited a range of top London establishments including the Shard and the Hyatt Regency – The Churchill, to learn more about what it is like to work in the hospitality industry. Several guest chefs also visited the college to give workshops, demonstrations and classes – including celebrity chef Michel Roux Jr.

If you love cooking and would like to learn from industry experts, gaining real-life experience alongside your qualification – contact us now on 020 3954 4000.

In April 2017, phase 2 of the BR6 building project was completed when the Career College added its brand new BR6 Bakehouse. Please read more about this by clicking the links below:
