On this practical ceramics course, you will further improve your wheel throwing skills. Learn how to throw single as well as sets of functional forms such as bowls and progress through a range of more complex domestic pots, like jugs, cups, lidded jars, plates and teapots. All work will be decorated using a variety of surface decorations and glazes. By the end of the course, you will be able to
Identify a range of clays
Understand basic clay/glaze technology.
Further develop previously learned wheel throwing skills.
Aim to increase the size and sophistication of your pottery.
Increase shape repertoire.
Face technical challenges and find practical and creative solutions through practice.
