About the course

This Vocational course provides a great starting point to your time at College, it allows you time to develop your study skills, achieve your English and maths whislt still developing your interest in business.

The course is designed to introduce you to a range of industries that Business skills support. It is designed to explore personal development for employability, across different vocational areas to allow you the flexibility of choice with your Level 2 progression opportunities in the future

What you will study

You will learn by completing different projects that reflect what the business world needs today all supported by work experience. The course will consist of the following units:

  • Planning an Enterprise Activity

  • Running an Enterprise Activity

  • Understanding How Individuals and Teams Contribute to the Effectiveness of a Retail Business

  • Excel

  • Business Organisations

  • Understanding the Handling of Customer Payments in a Retail Business


  • Assessment is by course work and assignments, which are both internally and externally assessed

Entry requirements

  • No formal entry qualifications just an interest in business, retail, finance or digital communication

  • Selection is by interview
