Our First Aid courses are in-house comprehensive training programmes suitable for staff in any sector, providing essential knowledge to ensure a safe working environment. 

We have two options available a one day Emergency First Aid course and a three day First Aid at Work course both lead to a HSE recognised qualification.

Emergency First Aid - one day course

This one day course is designed for those who require knowledge of managing emergency situations whether in the workplace or in the home. This course is therefore suitable for employees who are going to be the nominated - Appointed Person First Aider - in the workplace or someone who would like a comprehensive introduction to Emergency First Aid.

This course provides a general introduction to First Aid and is appropriate for those who require a basic knowledge of the Emergency First Aid qualification.

This course will cover the following topics:

Dealing with accidents and illness

  • Using a First Aid kit
  • Simple record keeping
  • First Aid priorities
  • Resuscitation
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty

Qualification

After successfully completing the course you will receive a HSE recognised qualification. It is recommended that you renew this training every three years.

First Aid at work - three day course

This three day course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations.

This course is designed for people who want to receive our most in-depth and comprehensive first aid training.

This course will cover the following topics:

  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Managing an emergency
  • Communication
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  • Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
  • Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)

Qualification

After successfully completing the course you will receive a HSE recognised qualification. It is recommended that you renew this training every three years.
