Over the past ten years, there has been a huge shift in opinion by employers, universities, professional bodies and training providers about the need for good grades and attainment in the two core subjects of English and maths; particularly when setting entry requirements and criteria for higher education, professional qualifications and job opportunities.

TV presenter and novelist, Prue Leith paid a special visit to London South East Colleges' Orpington Campus in April, to meet students and staff at the new BR6 Bakehouse.

A group of students based at our Greenwich Campus will be taking the journey of a lifetime at the weekend when they set sail on the first leg of the Rendez Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta. Jack, Luul, Litalia, Lois, and Jack will join the fleet of tall ships as they depart from the Greenwich peninsula over the Easter weekend.

Occupational Therapy Technician, Andrew is currently working hard to achieve a good grade in his GCSE English exams in order to qualify for a university place next year. He has decided to extend his career goals and go the whole way to becoming a fully qualified Occupational Therapist but requires a more formal academic qualification to help him get on course.
