Catherine, 49, has had two different careers already but neither compares to the one she is pursuing right now. She has just enrolled for her second year of the Childhood Studies with SEN (Special Educational Needs) Foundation Degree validated by Canterbury Christ Church University. This was made possible by taking on both English and maths at GCSE level whilst also studying for her first-year exam units of which she scored a complete set of distinction grades.

The University Centre at London South East Colleges has been given a seal of approval by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

In a report published this week following an inspection earlier this year, the universities watchdog, has confirmed that the College’s Higher Education provision meets all the expected academic standards. 

Graham, 64, from West Wickham had very honorable reasons to return to education and study for his GCSE English and maths exams. He wanted to help his son James with his school work and decided the best way to do it was to put himself in the very same scenario himself.

With this weekend’s Biggin Hill Festival of Flight set to celebrate the world of aviation, a former London South East Colleges student is celebrating the launch of an exciting career.
