The Apprentice Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial delivery of projects while gaining practical experience and developing their surveying skills.
The apprentice will assist with cost records, subcontractor information, valuations, procurement activities, measurements, and commercial reporting.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Support the commercial team with day-to-day Quantity Surveying duties under supervision.
- Assist with maintaining project records, including drawings, variations, RFIs, subcontractor details, and payment information.
- Support measurements, valuations, cost tracking, procurement activities, and commercial reporting.
- Assist with subcontractor enquiries, payment applications, and tender comparisons.
- Attend site visits and meetings to develop an understanding of project delivery and commercial processes.
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments to gather required information.
- Develop knowledge of contracts, cost control, procurement, and final accounts through training, mentoring, and practical experience.
- Work towards progression into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will have the opportunity to progress into an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role. Ongoing support, mentoring, and professional development will be provided to help them continue building their skills and progress within the commercial team.
