Our student-led restaurant, BR6 and Bakehouse has won a series of awards, by training in our industry-standard kitchens and working in our award-winning restaurant, you will get the opportunity not only to develop your practical skills but also to understand how a commercial restaurant is run.

Food and Beverage Front of House - Certificate

Qualified skilled staff are more likely to gain employment, and this qualification represents an introduction to the industry. It is a busy and practical course with real working experience in our restaurant and kitchens. The course is designed to support progression to further learning and work in hospitality and catering or other related sectors.

L2 Study Programme in Culinary Skills (SPL2CSK)

This course will suit you if you have some basic skills and experience as a chef, probably from a role where you work under supervision. You want to gain a formal qualification and increase your skills so that you can take on a more senior role. This course is a natural progression from those who have completed the Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Culinary Skills. Students further develop practical skills, knowledge and experience gained in the first year, and prepare you for advanced level qualifications or a career in the Hospitality Industry.

Professional Cookery - Advanced Diploma

The Level 3 Professional Cookery course is ideal if you are a chef working in the industry or if you already have a Level 2 qualification. It will give you the skills to achieve your potential and progress your career within the hospitality industry. This course is the essential training ground for the chefs of tomorrow. You will study in our industry-standard training kitchens, and gain real working experience in our restaurants. Using the highest quality ingredients you will prepare complex meat, fish (including shell fish), poultry and vegetable dishes, as well as desserts, cakes and biscuits. The course also covers the preparation of soups, hot and cold sauces and pasta dishes.
