What you will study
You will study:
- Sport: Units such as fitness testing and training, expedition skills, Land and water-based adventurous activities, psychology for sports performance.
- Literacy/Numeracy enhancement: You will take part in a personalised literacy and numeracy development programme.
- Employability programme: A range of activities that will enhance your chances of employment after the course

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English and maths
You would preferably have an interest in outdoor adventurous sports or have completed GCSE PE

Assessment
Continual assessment throughout the year and a number of both written and practical assessments.
Students are required to complete a portfolio containing evidence of assignments, practical performance, presentations, group exercises and discussions
An exam for the literacy and numeracy enhancement aspect of the course

Moving Forward
Successful completion of this course could lead to employment within the outdoor sector or Higher Education.
