Students across London South East Colleges are celebrating exam success that's opening doors to apprenticeships, higher-level study and the start of careers.

From T Levels, to BTECs and GCSE Maths and English, our students and staff are celebrating success. 

Zack, who completed a T Level in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing, said:

“The T-Level course gave me the core engineering fundamentals, the enthusiasm and everything I need to be employed. 

“My placement introduced me to the sustainable energy sector and strengthened my ambition to contribute towards greener engineering solutions. It’s been an amazing start to my engineering career.”

Rhea, who achieved her NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity while practising her judo to a high level, said:

"I've really enjoyed being at London South East Colleges and the support of the teachers has helped me gain the result I need to secure a place at the University of East London to study Sports Science.

"I'm also hoping to represent Team GB in Judo at the Olympics in 2028, and can't wait for the challenges ahead, which wouldn't have been possible without my time at London South East Colleges."

Charlie achieved a 6 in GCSE English and she is going on to Level 2 Childcare said:

“I feel amazing! I am so thankful that I passed my GCSE English with London South East Colleges. I am currently working in a nursery , and I can now focus on my Level 2 Childcare and building my career.”

Tristan, 17, passed GCSE Maths and English and is progressing to Level 2 Electrical Installation, said:

"I really enjoyed the Level 1 Electrical Installation course and was delighted to pass my GCSE Maths and English. The tutors who helped me through my GCSEs were amazing and gave me so much support. I’m really looking forward to continuing my journey here and starting the Level 2 Electrical Installation course in September."

Hoping to pursue a career in nursing, Faith was delighted to receive D*DD in BTEC Level 3 Health & Social Care:

"I'm so excited by my result; it was a lot of work, but I can't stop smiling. The tutors at London South East Colleges gave me a lot of support and encouragement and now I'm going to follow my dream of studying Paediatric Nursing at Brighton University."

Folashade passed her GCSE Maths, allowing her to pursue her ambition to be a teacher:

"I can’t believe I got a 5. I was not expecting that at all; I thought I would need to retake it. All thanks to my tutor, who really supported me through GCSE Maths. I will now be able to start my PGCE and I feel very proud."

Benzino took GCSE Maths alongside Access to HE Diploma in Business:

"I'm delighted to have received my GCSE Maths result so that I can take up my university place to study Economics, which was opened up to me via my Access to HE Diploma with London South East Colleges."
